For nearly 50 years, the Alliance Française de Kansas City has been serving the greater Kansas City community. Through quality language instruction and rich cultural programming, the Alliance promotes the French language, cultural dialogue and diversity for the advancement of lifelong learning in a multicultural society. The Alliance Française de Kansas City is a fully independent 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. It is thanks to the generosity of our supporters and students that we can continue to serve the local community and provide a professional and friendly environment for francophone educational and cultural enrichment. We thank you for considering a donation to the AFKC! To ensure that your funding goes to the program(s) you value the most, we have established a fund for each of the Alliance’s four principal activities. Now you can support the Alliance program that most speaks to your passion and at a level that suits your budget. | How to make a gift to support Alliance Française de Kansas CityMake an unrestricted donationAn unrestricted gift to the Alliance Française supports all of our programs. Help Jacqueline's Family for Christmas:The AFKC board of directors have chosen to sponsor a deserving local French-speaking family living in Kansas City, MO, originally from Central African Republic, who are in need of assistance this holiday season. Jacqueline lost her husband during violent civil strife in her country and fled with her two children. After months in a camp, their name was pulled in a lottery system allowing her and her children to settle in the United States. They were sent to Kansas City. Jacqueline, who speaks primarily only French was shot in her shoulders and in her stomach shortly after moving to Kansas City during a home invasion in the middle of the night. Their family has a 10-year old son in need of surgery. Jacqueline works full-time making $8.40 sewing American Flags. Please help us assist this family with providing some of the basic items needed for a holiday dinner as well as some of the things her child both needs and wants. |
