Class Descriptions

Language acquisition is a process that takes time. Each semester, our classes meet once a week for an hour and a half each week over a ten week period to fit the schedules of our students. As a result, each level takes several semesters to complete. By the end of each semester, you will see improvement and by the end of the series of classes, you will see significant development of skills. Ideally students are placed into the level and sub-level that best reflects their current knowledge and skill set. It is not possible to offer all sub-levels all of the time, however, and sometimes sub-levels will need to be regrouped in as homogenous a way as possible to meet the needs of the students and the staff of the school.
