AFKC members and friends are invited to a special French immersion event Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 10:00am to 1:00pm at historic Fort Leavenworth, hosted by Colonel Nicolas Auboin.
For those that do not have clearance for entering Ft. Leavenworth, plan on arriving at the Fort Leavenworth Visitor’s Center between 9 and 9:15am to arrive at the event by 10am. Screening to enter the Fort takes about 30 minutes.
The visitor’s center is located at 8 Sherman Ave, Fort Leavenworth, KS 66027. Once you have gone through screening, join us at 881 McClellan Ave, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas by 10am.
- Colonel Auboin and Commandant Epstein will lead a tour (in French) of the historic sites of Fort Leavenworth.
- Guests will be led on a guided visit of the Frontier Army Museum (in English by the museum’s guide.)
- Colonel Auboin and Commandant Epstein will lead a conference at the Museum on the “pivotal” year 1753.
The cost for the Fort Leavenworth visit is $15.
At the conclusion of the conference, guests are invited to meet for a “Dutch treat” lunch at June’s Northland Restaurant, off-base in Ft. Leavenworth.
