Beginner's French A1.0 - Thursday Evenings Fall 2022

This is a class for Absolute Beginner's French, level A1.0. We'll working through chapters 0-2 of the Saison 1 books. 

This will be a hybrid class, meaning that some classes will take place in person and some online, as specified by the instructor . Masks may be required for in-person meetings. Full vaccination is recommended, for the safety of our members, staff and community.

At this level you will begin to communicate in very familiar contexts with the help of the listener, including the ability to introduce yourself, and ask about others. Grammar points include the present tense (of the verbs être (to be), avoir (to have), venir (to come) and regular verbs ending in -er), subject pronouns, tonic pronouns, statements and questions, prepositions (à, de) and their contractions, numbers (counting), colors, articles and gender of nouns, vocabulary relative to everyday items and places.

French A1 classes use the Saison 1 textbook; the workbook is highly encouraged. Please order in advance of class!
