Think you know French and Francophone culture? Prove it!

The Défi Inter-Alliances is an international online competition where learners from Alliances Françaises around the world compete in a trivia showdown on art, gastronomy, history, sports, and more!

HOW TO COMPETE?

First you would have to take a quizz at the Alliance. It will be April 25th. If you are qualified, you then can attend the National Final. 

Here is the program.

• April 25th @6 PM – Local round (AFKC learners battle it out in a 20-question Kahoot! quiz)
• May 17 @ 12 PM (EST) – National final (Top 2 from AFKC face winners from across the U.S.)
• May 24 @ 8 PM (Paris Time) – Regional final (U.S. champs take on the world! )
• July 21 – International final in Nice! The ultimate challenge against worldwide finalists – including French students!

Who can enter? 

In order to register, you need to meet this criteria: 

• be an AFKC learners aged 18+
• Minimum A2 level in French
• Free to participate!

Please ensure you meet the requirements before sign up!

The first competition will take place at the Alliance. If you are qualified for the second round, participants must use two digital devices during the second competition: one device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) to access Zoom for the virtual event, and a smartphone to answer the Kahoot quiz. 

The reward? A week-long stay in Nice (transport + accommodation) during the Francophonie Summit + the chance to compete LIVE at the Alliance Française Theatre!
