AFKC class levels are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is an international standard for describing language ability.
It describes language ability on a six-point scale, from A1 for beginners, up to C2 for those who have mastered a language.
This makes it easy for anyone involved in language teaching and testing, such as teachers or learners, to see the level of different qualifications. It also means that employers and educational institutions can easily compare our qualifications to other exams in their country.
If you are a beginner, you don't need to take a test, just register on A1.1.

Note: Please note that the test may not appear correctly on a smartphone. For better results and greater comfort, we highly recommend taking the placement test on a computer or an iPad.

Learn basic vocabulary and structures: greetings, numbers, days, ordering food, introducing yourself, asking simple questions. Build confidence in short, everyday interactions
Expand vocabulary on familiar topics (family, work, shopping, travel). Learn to describe your environment, talk about past and future plans, and handle simple social exchanges.
Develop ability to narrate events, describe experiences, and express opinions. Learn to handle most travel situations, write connected texts, and follow clear conversations on familiar subjects.
Learn to discuss abstract topics, defend viewpoints, and interact fluently with native speakers. Gain skills to understand more complex texts and conversations, and write detailed, structured arguments.
C1.1 - C1.2
Master advanced grammar and idiomatic expressions. Learn to understand nuanced meaning, produce clear and well-structured speech and writing, and adapt your language for academic, professional, or cultural contexts.
